Around the start of July 2021 I was listening to some Spyro Gyra on the way to work. Nothing crazy right? Just some groovy Jazz before work. Well, as I was jamming out to the song “Islands in the Sky” I thought to myself how perfect this song would be to make into vaporwave. Although I was relatively new to vaporwave at the time I still understood the basics of classic vaporwave. When I got home that day, I opened up my laptop and started messing around with “Islands in the Sky” in a video editor. A few hours went by and I found myself with my own vaporwave song! I’ve always loved vaporwave since I discovered it but it was at this moment when I realized it was possible to make myself!

Now let’s fast forward 1 whole year… It’s now June 2022 and I’ve been making music almost non-stop since that moment. I was just chillin’ when I received an email from a local arts dude. The email was asking if I could play some of my tunes at an art gallery. And without hesitation, I jumped on the opportunity and agreed! The next month consisted of sifting through my whole discography and picking out the songs for the track list. After a long deliberation, I finally came up with the 40 minute set. After I gathered all the tracks for the show, I came up with a plan to make the setlist into a CD! So I got to work. I made the album cover and burned the songs onto some old discs. After hours of arts and crafts, I was finally met with the final product. A beautiful physical piece of my own music! Almost exactly 1 year after creating my first song, I was making my own merch for my first live show! I never would have expected to be here right now and I definitely wouldn’t be here without all the people who have listened over the past 12 months. Thank You. I can’t express enough what all of this means to me...

… I wrote all that right before the live show back in 2022 and to this day I am still incredibly grateful for all of you that have stuck around! This last year and a half has been an absolute rollercoaster for me and making music is the only thing that has kept me sane. Here’s to you and thanks again. :)

I really didn’t care for this album. Again it was filled with R&B slow jams, but there’s two tracks that I loved! Those two tracks are “Your Eyes” and “Lilith”. Exceptional and dreamy. Dionysus Virus
